Riccardo Giovanni Sallemi

CV

For me, architecture and design is my passion. My journey so far has introduced me to so many different pathways that can be explored with my degree and currently have taken interest in exploring my ability to produce installations and other large-scale art pieces. I also have a keen interest in research and writing and am currently focused on creating designs that looks at themes of gender and sexuality; more specifically, how spaces can be designed to foster safer environments for LGBTQ people.

My experience so far has introduced me to so many different pathways in architecture and the opportunity to work for your firm would be a great chance to explore them further. I enjoy working across various scales and take great pride in creating memorable spaces.

I have a keen interest in exploring the realm of installation and large-scale art pieces and as part of my studies, completed a thesis which looked at themes of gender and sexuality in architecture; more specifically, does a queer coded language exist for LGBTQI spaces and if so how can it be applied to create a more inclusive built environment.
